Basically, beta testing with 1 romantic route will start in around a year-ish (Q1 2021 = Jan-Mar 2021) with the official game release slated for Q4 2022 (Oct-Dec 2022 = approx 2.75 years from now). Hope that helps! :)

I want him to honestly (more than the wolf). But sadly, it doesn't look like we'll get him. I do like the wolf though, but Howl is the type I'd love to see in the story. We'll likely get the wolf (about 50/50). Maybe tomorrow Meyaoi will show that we got both? I don't think we did though, at least now Howl =(

Yes, you hit the nail on the head about what's so interesting about him! He's definitely feared by members of the community for being mostly "beast," and is thus fairly mysterious--like, he doesn't appear to have any friends or anyone who knows him well. Also, the police thing is pretty cool--I was pretty stoked when we got Ginger as a Route Character too :). But the fact that he's such an enigma and feared entity in the community but still became the chief of police says he's definitely got a strong character and goes for what he wants, which is admirable :)

Only 2 main NPC's and 4 Ranch Employees left to go, so grab them up by the 31st~~the physical rewards will still be available after, but not the designable characters, so get'em while you still can ;p. (Seriously, 1 more main NPC + 1 Ranch Employee, and we have Howl in the bag XD).

I have a feeling that's an ambitious and time-consuming endeavor that they won't do (^_^). Needing to get the game working on a different operating system, on a smaller scale, etc. would be an entirely new project with probably little financial benefit.
I have an idea! What if MeYaoi allowed us to raise the rest of the money for Howl's route when the campaign ends? Since so many people have already given money for his route and are hoping for it. We've already raised almost 2000$ for him and we'll probably raise up to 3000$ by the end of March. But we may not be able to raise all of it...😔

Oh, i purchased the $45 tier a little over a week ago. I was just saying that if I had known about this project back when it first started i would've saved more for it.

That's awesome that you're part of the beta team now, but I must concur that as someone who discovered the game in around November, it gave me more time to both save money and convince myself to spend it on this game (^_^;). Probably too much, to be honest, but I figured that I have a job and don't really spend my money on much besides necessities, so supporting an indie game developer to create another fabulous game seemed a decent way to spend it ;p
(Seriously--I spent a LOT. Like, it started with the $45.00 beta access [which is really like $60.00 to me since I'm Canadian]...but then a month later, I thought that the Ranch Employee pledge sounded like a really cool way to be a part of the game, and it had the lowest price of that reward tier, so, hey! Why not? But then...once I was communicating with the developer around a month after that about my character design, I found that I loved the process SO MUCH that I wondered how much MORE exciting it would be to design a main NPC!........so yeah, that love hotel couple is mine (^_^;). I probably spent around a total $2,015 Canadian dollars in pledges for this game...all I can say is the process has been super fun, and I'm banking on Meyaoi's good track record on seeing this game thru, cuz it's a legit investment for me now, lol)

I found Seiyuu Danshi by accident about a year ago and decided to try it since I liked the art work and how versatile the gameplay was (which is pretty nonexistent for VNs). I fell in love with the characters almost immediately, and kind of the same thing, I was like "Why have i not seen this anywhere before!?"
And then i saw it wasn't free and was like "oh...that's why".
And then i found Banana Ranch only at the end of last month and was like "Mother ######!"
Then i saw the cat cafe tier and was like "Why did i have to happen to just buy a new car!?!?"
Yeah, I'm pretty excited! XD. And ah man, bad timing with the car! I'm living that city bus life, which is a pain but definitely is saving me money for now. And that cat cafe tier was pretty tempting--I almost went for that one, but decided that since it was the actual *designing* part that got me excited, I'd get more bang for my buck with the hotel couple (^_^;).
And wow, my experience of finding Seiyuu Danshi is almost the same as yours, except I pretty much found it the month it officially released. So, I was more like, "Why I no find you in development stage?!"

It really varies, unfortunately (^_^;). The patterns I've noticed are either weekly, every 10 days, middle of the month, or end of the month. So, I'd say it will probably be updated next either on the 10th, 13th, or 15th :). There's always a curve-ball chance of Meyaoi updating sooner, but those are my best guesses.
Lol, yeah, that's my hope as well...I'm hoping seeing progress (or lack there of) will help motivate people to contribute. I guess we'll find out on Tuesday ^_^

Well, you would get it sooner than those who only pre-ordered it since having beta-access means testing the game and giving feedback as it's developed. As for whether some beta-testers would get access sooner than others, I don't think that's how it works. Since we're pledging to have access to early versions of the game to provide feedback & test things, it would be pretty inefficient to release these test versions of the game at different times to different people (￣∇￣")
If you were to pledge more than $45, you get a digital fanbook as well if you pledge $60, and the next jump is to $100 for all of that plus some physical merchandise (and further pledge amounts will net increased rewards if they hit certain target amounts). But no, I don't think you get any added benefit if you pledge, say, $50 instead of $45.

According to Meyaoi, "Game estimated release date: Q4 2021 (might be postponed further if more route goals are reached)".
So, it was originally slated for 2 years until release, but we've already added about 4 extra routes since that estimate and we could still add a couple more, depending on how much we can raise by March 31.
In short, I don't think we'll have a proper release date estimate from Meyaoi until the crowdfunding campaign is finished, but at this point I'd probably guess it's around 3 to 3.5 years away ^_^ (but that's just MY estimate, we'll have to wait and see for a more accurate one)

Also, if money is the issue, then maybe you should go the patreon route--if you pledge $20 this month and $25 next month (and then end your subscription) you don't have to pay it all at once AND if you donate digitally via patreon you get added to the list of credited backers in the game whereas you DON'T if you just pledge the $45 up-front from this site ;). (I know the video at the top of the page about the game tells you more about the pledge process starting at around 6:55 of the video)
As someone who is part of the Ranch Employee tier, all I can say is that I'm SUPER excited to be a part of this process (I probably got WAY too into designing a character, but hey, that's what I signed up for, right? ;p), and for anyone who comes across this game and has the funds--DO IT. Be a part of this amazing process, you won't be sorry! xD
(For real, if I had more money, I'd be seriously tempted to try for one of the top tier characters as well because if I'm this excited about designing a ranch employee, I'd probably actually DIE if I got the opportunity to design a major NPC. I know how you feel, my dude, but something to keep in mind--the more stuff we try to cram into this game, the longer it'll take to create and the more risks of things running over-time and over-budget, even with the crowd funding, which could potentially stop production :(. I don't think that'll happen based on MeYaoi's track record with Seiyuu Danshi, but life can happen. That being said...I REALLY WANNA SEE WHAT MEYOAI WOULD DO WITH HOWL, AND I'M SO SAD WE WON'T GET TO SEE IT AT THIS RATE!!! ｡･ﾟﾟ･(>д<)･ﾟﾟ･｡

I recently had a sad experience with a game I'm beta-ing ending active production due to a computer break-down (she had the assets saved, but the new computer didn't have and didn't want to run her old programs, making her saved assets essentially useless and putting back progress by roughly 1 year), over-budget issues, and creative burn-out, so I really wanna see Banana Ranch succeed! But like you say, with that fairly generous goal for fundraising + MeYaoi's experience with making a game like this, it is VERY likely that it will succeed :D. I admit to being on the fence on whether an extension of the campaign period or a later release of "expansion characters" is the way to go...on the one hand, we wait longer for a bigger and better game, or on the other we get the game sooner with the option to upgrade (and probably pay more, lol, but that supports the developer so I'm okay with that ;p) and receive more routes. Well, we'll see what happens! Maybe the campaign ends here and there's no expansion options, maybe it'll be extended, maybe there WILL be expansion routes in the future. We'll just have to wait and see ;)
Yeah, i'm totally with you. And to be honest, Howl is one of my favourites and i want to see him as one of the love interests too, i really like this big bad wolf T_T

While I know there are single capture routes, it irks me that there are no good games with a gay harem route where you can capture everyone (straight guys can have harems and gay guys can't?). Does not have to be this game, but I hope it could be added to this game in a stretch goal.

So, I'd say it will probably be updated next either on the 10th, 13th, or 15th :). There's always a curve-ball chance of Meyaoi updating sooner, but those are my best guesses.

It's so cool that we were able to get this goal (40k)! Grizz is so hot and lovely, i love him! Great pledge people!))) Now, I really hope that we can reach Howl. Like centaurs, this character is very unique and very promising! We just have to get him too. We have almost an entire month for that guys, don't slow down ^_^
Right?! I want Howl to be a possible love interest SO BADLY! And if we raised $3,367 in 13 days, we can certainly (hopefully!) raise another $4,195 in 30 days! I'm really hoping people buy up more of the ranch employees & main NPC's as we get closer to the final deadline--the 3 other main NPC's and 3 more ranch Employee's would get us to our goal!
If I purchase more than 45 bucks and get beta access, will I be able to play the game earlier than those who purchased less than 45?
Well, you would get it sooner than those who only pre-ordered it since having beta-access means testing the game and giving feedback as it's developed. As for whether some beta-testers would get access sooner than others, I don't think that's how it works. Since we're pledging to have access to early versions of the game to provide feedback & test things, it would be pretty inefficient to release these test versions of the game at different times to different people (￣∇￣")
If you were to pledge more than $45, you get a digital fanbook as well if you pledge $60, and the next jump is to $100 for all of that plus some physical merchandise (and further pledge amounts will net increased rewards if they hit certain target amounts). But no, I don't think you get any added benefit if you pledge, say, $50 instead of $45.

According to Meyaoi, "Game estimated release date: Q4 2021 (might be postponed further if more route goals are reached)".
So, it was originally slated for 2 years until release, but we've already added about 4 extra routes since that estimate and we could still add a couple more, depending on how much we can raise by March 31.
In short, I don't think we'll have a proper release date estimate from Meyaoi until the crowdfunding campaign is finished, but at this point I'd probably guess it's around 3 to 3.5 years away ^_^ (but that's just MY estimate, we'll have to wait and see for a more accurate one)

Also, if money is the issue, then maybe you should go the patreon route--if you pledge $20 this month and $25 next month (and then end your subscription) you don't have to pay it all at once AND if you donate digitally via patreon you get added to the list of credited backers in the game whereas you DON'T if you just pledge the $45 up-front from this site ;). (I know the video at the top of the page about the game tells you more about the pledge process starting at around 6:55 of the video)
As someone who is part of the Ranch Employee tier, all I can say is that I'm SUPER excited to be a part of this process (I probably got WAY too into designing a character, but hey, that's what I signed up for, right? ;p), and for anyone who comes across this game and has the funds--DO IT. Be a part of this amazing process, you won't be sorry! xD
(For real, if I had more money, I'd be seriously tempted to try for one of the top tier characters as well because if I'm this excited about designing a ranch employee, I'd probably actually DIE if I got the opportunity to design a major NPC. I know how you feel, my dude, but something to keep in mind--the more stuff we try to cram into this game, the longer it'll take to create and the more risks of things running over-time and over-budget, even with the crowd funding, which could potentially stop production :(. I don't think that'll happen based on MeYaoi's track record with Seiyuu Danshi, but life can happen. That being said...I REALLY WANNA SEE WHAT MEYOAI WOULD DO WITH HOWL, AND I'M SO SAD WE WON'T GET TO SEE IT AT THIS RATE!!! ｡･ﾟﾟ･(>д<)･ﾟﾟ･｡

I recently had a sad experience with a game I'm beta-ing ending active production due to a computer break-down (she had the assets saved, but the new computer didn't have and didn't want to run her old programs, making her saved assets essentially useless and putting back progress by roughly 1 year), over-budget issues, and creative burn-out, so I really wanna see Banana Ranch succeed! But like you say, with that fairly generous goal for fundraising + MeYaoi's experience with making a game like this, it is VERY likely that it will succeed :D. I admit to being on the fence on whether an extension of the campaign period or a later release of "expansion characters" is the way to go...on the one hand, we wait longer for a bigger and better game, or on the other we get the game sooner with the option to upgrade (and probably pay more, lol, but that supports the developer so I'm okay with that ;p) and receive more routes. Well, we'll see what happens! Maybe the campaign ends here and there's no expansion options, maybe it'll be extended, maybe there WILL be expansion routes in the future. We'll just have to wait and see ;)
Yeah, i'm totally with you. And to be honest, Howl is one of my favourites and i want to see him as one of the love interests too, i really like this big bad wolf T_T

While I know there are single capture routes, it irks me that there are no good games with a gay harem route where you can capture everyone (straight guys can have harems and gay guys can't?). Does not have to be this game, but I hope it could be added to this game in a stretch goal.
